Scheduled Blogging – write your posts in advance.

Many bloggers appear to update their blogs several times a day, however many actually write their posts in a batch and then get their blog publishing system to publish the post at a set date & time.
This means that a blogger can blog when they have the opportunity to do so , for example a spare hour could account for the creation of several blog posts and yet the publication of the posts is spread apart giving your readers fresh content at intervals, and a reason to visit your blog frequently. In the past John Chow has written that he uses this method of scheduled publishing.
This is easy to achieve on WordPress blogs – in the Publish window displayed when you are writing a post you can edit when a post is to be published (the default is set to immediately) and select a suitable date and time.
The advantages of Scheduled Blogging are:
- You can manage when and where you blog and still have new content added frequently to your blog.
- You can batch up blog posts.
- New content can be set to be published at the same time everyday.
The disadvantage of Scheduled Blogging is:
- Your content may not be upto date.
