Sir Terry Wogan and Aled Jones have released a charity single for Children in Need.

Their version of Silver Bells is currently having a big push on BBC radio2 in an attempt to make the number one spot in the UK charts, and it has a chance as it’s currently at the top of the Amazon.co.uk Singles chart. All the proceeds from the sales of the single go straight to children in need, which is a great cause. The ‘B Side’ of the Single is Sharon Corr singing Me and My Teddy Bear.

In light of todays sad news I thought I would share a video of Terry reading Janet and John.

Terry Wogan announced this morning that he will step down from BBC Radio 2′s breakfast show in the new year, and will be replaced by Chris Evans.

As I’m a big fan of Terry’s I’m a little but gutted to hear the news BUT it doesn’t look like Terry will be leaving the station altogether, he is reported has said “This is not goodbye – not even au revoir. As we used to say when I was a boy, see you later alligator.”

So hopefully TOG’s and TIG’s we will continue to be able to hear him, and the adventures of Janet and John for some time to come.
